Summer Events Programme

28 Jun 2017

Join us for an exciting range of events at the Battle of Bannockburn this summer!

From the first week of July we'll be inviting you to take part in a whole host of activities based around three themes: Craft Tuesdays, Archery Wednesdays, and Medieval Thursdays!

On Tuesdays you can come and make a patch about what you've learnt about the Battle of Bannockburn to add to our summer wall hanging (4th and 18th July, 12-4pm), create a castle to rival the formidable Stirling Castle (11th July, 12-4pm), or learn about medieval heraldry and decorate your own wooden shield (25th July, 12-4pm)!

On Wednesdays you can sign-up to join our qualified archery instructors for a morning archery class (10-12 midday, pre-booking recommended due to limited capacity), or drop by during the afternoon for Have-A-Go Archery (12-4pm)!

And on Thursdays you can attempt some medieval games (6th and 27th July, 12-4pm), have a go launching a medieval trebuchet (20th July, 12-4pm), or join us for some medieval soldier training (13th July, 10-12 midday, suitable for 7-12 year olds)!

For more info and the full weekly schedule please take a peek at our social media accounts, or get in touch via learningatbannockburn@nts.org.uk or 0178 681 2664. Please note that a charge does apply for some of our summer activities.
