Bannockburn Autumn Lecture Series : 'New light on William Wallace as Guardian of Scotland'
Professor Dauvit Broun
What did it mean to be ‘Guardian of Scotland’? Was Wallace king in all but name? Recent research into the nature of government, and how this was exercised by the Guardians during the interregnum following Alexander III’s death in 1286, offers a fresh perspective on this question. We warmly welcome Professor Dauvit Broun to his first Bannockburn Talk, which will be on this topic.
Wednesday 8th November 2017, 7pm
Tickets £5 (all proceeds go towards our Learning Programme)
