Getting to Bannockburn
The Battle of Bannockburn visitor centre is located on Glasgow Road, Whins Of Milton, Stirling, Stirlingshire, FK7 0LJ
The centre is approximately 2 miles south of Stirling, and can be reached in a number of easy ways:
- By bike - Access is by main road. Racks are available at the visitor centre to park your bike.
- By car - Take the M80/M9, and exit at junction 9 (signposted for 'The Battle of Bannockburn'). From here follow the A872 towards Stirling. The centre is a few minutes drive (roughly 2 miles) from the turn off, located on the west side of the A872. Follow the signs for the car park.
- By bus - A number of buses are available from Stirling Bus Station approximately 2 miles from the centre. Direct bus routes to the centre are also available from several major cities such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dundee.
- By train - Trains from several cities in Scotland can be taken to Stirling Train Station. The station is approximately 2 miles from the centre therefore you may wish to use the bus route from Stirling Bus Station to the centre; Stirling Bus Station is approximately a 3 minute walk from Stirling Train Station. - By coach: Take the M80/M9, and exit at junction 9 (signposted for 'The Battle of Bannockurn'). From here follow the A872 towards Stirling. The centre is a few minutes drive (roughly 2 miles) from the turn off, located on the west side of the A872. Follow the signs for the coach park. There is a designated coach park running alongside the visitor centre.
